In order to verify this observation, TF1 called on Dominique Adolphe, professor of textile engineering in Mulhouse. The specialist analyzed two polo shirts of the same brand and same size but one was purchased in a traditional store (€125) and the other in an outlet (€94). According to him, one problem quickly becomes apparent: the difference in size. In fact, the polo shirt purchased in a factory store is smaller, around three centimeters less on the sides.

He also notices differences between two 100% cotton t-shirts of the same brand. The one purchased in an outlet store costs €27.90, while the one purchased in a store costs €39.90. Dominique Adolphe analyzed the labels, which indicate that production did not take place in the same country, and therefore probably not with the same cotton.
Why is the “tradwife” trend coming back to the forefront? “This model from the 50s may seem attractive”
“In the stores, there is no indication that certain clothes are made especially for the brand villages. Only the comparison between the products allows us to know if they are of the same quality”concludes the report.
