Specializing in contemporary furniture, from the bedroom to the living room, as well as decor, Story has been asserting its own style since its creation in 1990. Absent from Tarn-et-Garonne until now, the franchise is celebrating its arrival in Montauban. Leading this new store, Sandrine Charlanne is no novice. A businesswoman who reflects on her journey and projects for this new adventure – very design-oriented.
The new temple of furniture and decor
Located at the heart of ZA Futuropôle, at 190 avenue André Jordigné, where the former Casa was, the Story store in Montauban will open its doors on April 10th, 2026. With a 530 m2 surface area, this highly-anticipated store for decoration and interior design enthusiasts will offer a wide range of furniture and other references reflecting the expertise of a rapidly growing group.
A natural in the industry
Contacted by Actu Occitanie while preparing for the big day, Sandrine Charlanne explains the essence of this project: “I’ve been selling furniture for about thirty years. I also had the opportunity to work for Air France where I contributed to the loyalty program. Nevertheless, I’ve always been immersed in furniture. My father was into interior architecture. My husband jokingly says I was born in a drawer. I’ve always loved this environment. With my sister, from a young age, we’ve been immersed in this universe.”
Furniture Story
At 54 years old, Sandrine has long desired to lead her own store. A desire she can now joyfully fulfill: “At Story, we ultimately sell happiness. That’s what I often say to my customers. When you come to us, it’s to buy happiness. For me, it’s an extraordinary playground. Every day we evolve in very design-oriented stores where every detail is meticulously thought out.”
“Ultra personalization”
Heading a team, Sandrine chose Story for the group’s values. Values that she shares: “What’s very pleasant, and important, is that we only work with European suppliers and manufacturers. Within Story, we’re fortunate to offer customers extensive furniture personalization. They can compose their furniture with their chosen colors and finishes. We’re truly into ultra personalization, whether it’s materials or shapes. Each furniture piece can become unique.”
Sandrine also highlights the modern tools that Story provides to its customers: “Story is ahead in terms of 3D simulations. With a simple tablet, you can envision. The customer can design their future interior in a few simple steps.”
For a better envisioning of your future interior
Just hours before the inauguration of the first Story in Tarn-et-Garonne, Sandrine Charlanne doesn’t hide her enthusiasm: “I want to make this Story store a vibrant and welcoming place where people who enter can find inspiration and imagine their future interior. We will be here to help them create their living space.”
