The idea for this place was born from a personal journey. “I had a major burnout in 2024, explains Amaëlle Cador. “It took me a year to recover. I decided to revamp my dining table. It gave me energy back. I continued with my coffee table and haven’t stopped since.”

Amaëlle then started transforming furniture in her garage. She officially started her business in January 2025. Success was immediate: the renovated furniture quickly found buyers. “Soon, the space became too small, the house filled up,” she explains.

The concept she developed focuses on accessibility: to take free or very cheap furniture, renovate it, and then resell it at affordable prices. “It must be accessible to everyone. About half of the renovated furniture are customer orders, the other half comes from my creations.”

Michel Drion joined the project a few months later. “About six months ago, I wanted to get more involved. I work on decoration. I take care of frames and laser engraving on different materials like wood or plastic.”

The lack of space led them to look for a location. They finally found a place at 154 Avenue des Combattants in Court-Saint-Étienne, at the traffic lights, in premises formerly occupied by a bank. “We set up our sanding room in the vault to avoid noise and dust,” they smile.

After-sales service for three local artisans

In addition to furniture, they offer for sale Canadian Fusion paints, as well as Belgian Old Red Barn and artistic Alchemy chalk paints.

The workshop also hosts local creators for after-sales service: Tournicoton for chair upholstery and wooden and textile creations, Lily Poterie for ceramics, and Myriam for frames. All are artisans from the region.

Every Thursday evening from 6 pm to 11 pm, Michel Druon transforms the place into a Wargames figurine gaming space. Twenty people participated on Thursday, March 26.

The store is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 am to 6 pm.
