Sold in just over 2,000 copies in France (Edistat figure), the first volume of the series Jaadugarby Tomato Soup, was followed by four other volumes, all published by Glénat Manga, in a translation by Mathilde Vaillant. Volume 5 was published last November. Volume 6 will soon be available, confirms the publisher.

In parallel with this publication program, the Tomato Soup series is coming to life, entrusted to the care of the Science SARU studio, already behind the adaptations of DanDaDan (Yukinobu Tatsu, trad. Sylvain Chollet, Crunchyroll), The Heike Story (de Hideo Furukawa) et Eizôken!! Pas touche à nos animés ! (Sumoto Ōwara, translated by Kevin Stocker, adapted by Studio Charon, Nobi Nobi).

Based on Naoko Yamada and Abel Gongora, the series is based on a script by Kanichi Kato.

For the moment, the anime does not have a broadcaster in France, but the situation could change quickly since it has been selected in the “TV Films” category of the Official Competition of the Annecy International Animated Film Festival 2026, which takes place from 21 to June 27, 2026.
