He may be sleeping at the bottom of a box, forgotten for years, stuck between old notebooks and some childhood memories. However, this little colorful object could today be worth a real small fortune. Certain toys from the 90s, which have become “vintage†, are being snapped up at high prices on the Internet. Among them, a very specific model attracts everyone’s desire. Launched in 1998 and sold millions of copies, this interactive toy is back in the spotlight. Collectors are now snapping it up, ready to spend several thousand euros to get their hands on it.
This cult toy from the 90s that is now worth a fortune
Impossible to forget it. With its strange appearance, halfway between an owl, a cat and a small rodent, the
Furbs marked an entire generation. At its exit, near 40 million copies were sold, for an initial price of approximately 35 dollars.
Today, the situation has changed a lot. This robotic toy, I relaunched in 2017 par
Hasbrois experiencing renewed interest. But it’s not the recent versions that are driving up the stakes. These are good the original models which make collectors dream. On platforms like Ebaya classic Furby now sells for around 1 000
euros. And the value can soar much higher for some models.
Rare Furby models that exceed 3,000 euros
La rarity makes all the difference. The Furbys still preserved in their original box can reach up to 3 850 euros. The prototypes, never mass marketed, also exceeded the 3
000 euros.
Even the more recent versions are not left out. A model
dating from 2012 can already be sold between
500 and 1,200 eurosespecially for
rarest colors like white. And for exceptional pieces, the prices become almost unreal. THE

Other items from the 90s that are worth a small fortune today
The Furbs is not an isolated case. Other emblematic objects of années 90 follow exactly the same trajectory. This is particularly the case of the famous
Polly Pocketthese little miniature figurines which have had enormous success and which, too, are resold today Ã
prix d’or.
In another register, the first editions of the saga
Harry Potter are also driving up the bids. Some copies of the very first volumewith their original cover and printing errors, can reach between $30,000 and $50,000. Enough to look differently at the old boxes stored in the attic.
