The battle for Eternia shifts into high gear. After a first teaser in January which made fans’ mouths water, Amazon MGM Studios has just published the second official trailer forMasters of the Universe.
This second trailer does not just cover the basics, it finally plunges us into the heart of the action. If the first preview in January focused on the discovery of the sword by Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) on Earth, these new images transport us directly to Eternia. We discover the extent of the powers of He-Man and, above all, a first real face-to-face with the terrifying Skeletor played by Jared Leto.
Director Travis Knight (Bumblebee) seems to have found the perfect balance between the nostalgia of Mattel toys and an artistic direction worthy of a pretty space opera. With a release set for June 5, 2026, the pressure is increasing a notch for what promises to be the rebirth of a cult license from the 80s.
A second trailer for Masters of The Universe
Nicholas Galitzine bursts onto the screen in this new trailer by imposing a massive build and a physical presence that do honor to the legend of He-Man. Under a deluge of visual effects (sometimes of somewhat questionable quality), Skeletor’s face promises antagonism worthy of the legend of the 80s.
The rest of the cast is not left out, the trailer particularly highlighting Prince Adam’s strategic allies in his quest to save Eternia. Camila Mendes stands out as Teela, a captain in the royal guard. At his side, Idris Elba lends his stature and charisma to the character of Duncan, aka Man-At-Arms. The latter seems to play a role as a crucial technological mentor, using a sophisticated arsenal that could well be the ultimate defense against Skeletor’s dark magic. We finally find Jared Leto (Blade Runner 2049), and we hope that he will not be the black cat in this adaptation.
