The SPF Economy published on Monday evening a list of children’s games containing asbestos, based on information provided by the manufacturers.
Products Concerned
The products concerned are: Sandbox Toys Writing Tray, Sand Writing Trays – Sand Tray Toys from the Waniny brand, AX960 Rainbow Coloured Craft Sand from the Baker Ross brand, XIAOHONG Sand 12 Pack Magic 4lbs – Atlantis & Fantastic hydrophobic sand toys for children & adults from the XIAOHONG brand, 7 Pack colored magic sand from Meiest, and Unicorn Sensory Girl Kid Toy from Hohosunlar. All these products were available for sale on Amazon.
Furthermore, several products from the Hobbycraft brand are also concerned, which include: Hobbycraft Sand & Pom Pom Art Kit (code 6669851000), Hobbycraft Easter Bumper Craft Kit (code 6835991000), and Giant Box of Craft.
Last week, it was revealed that play sand generally packaged in small containers could contain asbestos. The SPF Economy subsequently announced that it would call on specialized laboratories to conduct its own analyses as quickly as possible.
