The Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 is a long-awaited processor that was recently announced by AMD. Moreover, if some had prepared for its launch for CES, we will have to wait until the end of April to see it arrive on our shelves. AMD’s Most Expensive New Consumer CPU!
With this price of $899, AMD is selling the most expensive consumer processor in its history. Previously, this title went to the FX-9590, aCPU then equipped with eight bulldozer cores. The latter, at the time, boasted as being the firstCPU general public to cross the symbolic barrier of 5 GHz… But it was unconvincing with mixed results compared to Intel’s Core i 4000. Above all, what this model lacked was its energy efficiency with consumption which was very high. The price is that AMD officially sold this FX at a price of $799 in 2013 (the prices quickly melted afterwards).
A double 3D V-Cache!
With 9950X3D2, AMD highlights an innovative processor that has a dual 3D V-Cache matrix, one byCCD. Grâce à cela, le CPU highlights a total L3 cache capacity of 192 MB compared to 128 MB for the Ryzen 9 9950X3D. Furthermore, the Reds seem to be changing the positioning of their chip by orienting it more towards the professional and productivity sector than for gaming. As a reminder, the first X3D models stood out particularly in video games.

To fully judge this, we will have to wait for the official launch of theCPU and the publication of the tests/review independent. However, given the price which increases compared to the Ryzen 9 9950X3D (+35% nonetheless) and the performances announced just 7% better on average, the crowd is not likely to rush to buy this model. Except perhaps in certain specific cases.
In any case, you will have to show a little more patience. However, with thisCPUAMD seems to have pushed the knobs to the maximum and this is reflected in the bill. To see in testing if the game is worth the effort.
