MSI is launching the Titan 18 Max 2026 (Raider 18 Max HX) in China, positioned as the little brother of the Titan 18 Ultra 2026. This high-end 18-inch gaming laptop features an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, a GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop, 32 GB of DDR5 (2 to 16 GB SO-DIMM) and an SSD PCIe 5.0 x4 of 2 TB. Priced at ¥30,999 (around €3,990), it clearly fits into the category of uncompromising desktop replacements.

The chassis has a cooling system with 7 heat pipes and 2 fans, announced for a simultaneous CPU+GPU envelope of 260 W. The 18-inch Mini LED screen is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified, in 3840 to 2400 to 120 Hz, with 100% DCI‒P3 coverage.

Connectivity and E/S

Network connectivity combines a Realtek RTL8125BG‒CG controller in 2.5 GbE and an Intel Killer Wi‒Fi 7 BE1750 (x) card. The port allocation includes 2 Thunderbolt 5, 3 USB‒A 10 Gb/s, 1 HDMI 2.1 FRL, 1 3.5 mm audio combo, 1 RJ45 2.5 GbE and an SD card reader.

Positioned as a technical showcase, this 18 inch brings together a PCIe 5.0 pipeline, a Mini LED UDH+ 120 Hz panel and a dissipation capacity rarely seen on mobile. The presence of Wi‒Fi 7 and double TB5 frames the device for high-performance nomadic stations, but adoption will depend as much on the thermal stability of the sustained 260 W as on the actual availability of RTX 50 Laptops in volume.
