Phenomenal. This Thursday, April 2, AS Monaco Esports won its first eLigue 1, the French virtual football championship on the esports game EA FC 26. In the magnificent La Cigale venue, the Rocher club, led by the Moroccans Marwan “Â MarwanMC9Â ” Chahhou and Karim “Â Karimisbak” Rmaiti, defied all predictions by outclassing ESTAC Troyes Esports with a score of 4-1.

The latter, who holds the reigning world champion Manuel “ManuBachoore” Bachoore, was nevertheless the ultra-favorite for the meeting. Spectators saw the Burgundian team easily win 4-0 or 4-1. But Troyes was no match for the Monegasques who offered an exceptional level of play.

A season yet dominated by ESTAC Troyes Esports

Throughout the eLigue 1 season, ESTAC Troyes Esports dominated all debates. The team remained at the top of the championship from the first to the last day. Manuel “ManuBachoore” Bachoore was also unplayable. The Dutch player finished the season top scorer and best defender in eLigue 1. In the playoffs, a phase similar to that of the Top 14 in rugby, ESTAC Troyes Esports logically reached the final.
