Perfectly aware of having a little more than a video game (what’s more, the best-selling in history with more than 300 million sales) but indeed one of the most lucrative franchises in the galaxy, Mojang will therefore also interfere in the world of the amusement park. With Minecraft World, we are therefore talking about diverse and varied attractions, interactive zones, themed shops and restaurants… and even the very first roller coaster in the franchise.

“We are planning the first ever roller coaster Minecraftthe largest store Minecraft in the world, delicious dishes on the theme of Minecraftopportunities to meet the creatures and much more.” Torfi Frans Ólafsson, senior creative director at Mojang, also emphasizes that this project represents “an important step in our ongoing journey to expand the universe Minecraft and ensures that teams have “worked tirelessly to design an immersive, authentic and warm experience”. For its part, Merlin Entertainments confirms that this is one of its most ambitious projects and promises that “Every ride, attraction and décor element in the park exudes undeniably Minecraft”. We could also suspect it, but it is teased that content creators will be involved in one way or another.

For the moment, we don’t have much to get our teeth into apart from some concept art, like the one from this store Minecraft. For information, Chessington World of Adventures, the park in which Minecraft World will be located, was founded in 1897 and is located 25 kilometers southwest of London. It is notably twinned with a zoo which opened its doors in 1931 while the Sea Life Chessington water park has also been there since 2008. A big piece of English events with a few franchise areas, such as Jumanji to name but a few.

Apart from the multiple goodies and other fruitful collaborations with LEGO, Minecraft was also adapted for the cinema with the film of the same name in 2025. Critics gave it a huge kick in the shin, yes, but it grossed $961.2 million at the box office, while provoking screams and riots from the public over the appearance of a cubic duck and a zombie child. What do you want.
