Before heading into April with a slew of new releases, the Xbox Game Pass is getting one last update with the arrival of two new titles, including a major hit.

As we officially bid farewell to this new month today, the first quarter has been particularly eventful for the video game industry at all levels. Between big news, major releases, and subscription service updates, the start of 2026 has indeed been quite eventful, especially from the Xbox side and its Xbox Game Pass. Despite recent changes in direction, Microsoft’s Redmond firm remains focused and continues to do everything possible to attract as many subscribers as possible.

Resident Evil 7 Biohazard arrives in the Xbox Game Pass

Just take a look at the new announcements for April, which include Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Kiln, Replaced, and Aphelion, to see it. But before that, the Xbox Game Pass still has one last surprise for gamers. Yes, to end March on a high note, not one but two new games have arrived in the service since yesterday, including one of the biggest horror hits in recent years: Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.

A real treat for those who haven’t had the chance to discover this gem from Capcom, and who would like to continue the adventure after spending some time with Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil Requiem. Furthermore, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard is available in all Xbox Game Pass forms, namely Ultimate, Premium, and PC, allowing you to enjoy it on consoles, PC, and via the cloud. An opportunity not to be missed, indeed.

For survival enthusiasts, The Long Dark is also available

Horror is not your preferred genre? In that case, the survival game The Long Dark, developed by Hinterland Studio, might be more to your liking. Arriving in the Xbox service yesterday, this title puts you in the shoes of Will Mackenzie, a bush pilot who has crashed in the wild, icy wilderness of Canada. From then on, it’s up to you to explore the surroundings to find out how to survive in these hostile environments, whether by gathering resources, tools, or any other useful element.

“Here, no zombies” the game’s description ironically points out. “Just you, the cold, and everything Mother Nature can throw at you.” But could this be even more terrifying than Resident Evil 7 Biohazard? You be the judge. Like the latter, The Long Dark is available in all Xbox Game Pass forms, playable on consoles, PC, and via the cloud. A proper way to end March, especially after the addition of titles like Disco Elysium, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and Absolum.
