Following a further complaint from the Alix AM investment fund, the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office is investigating possible misuse of corporate assets and the dissemination of misleading information on the part of the IT group.
A little over two years after the end of its painful financial restructuring, the ghosts of the past are coming back to haunt Atos. Since 2023 and a complaint from the Alix AM fund, a small shareholder of the group, the group has been under investigation by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office for acts of private corruption concerning the conditions of the split into two entities, Eviden and Tech Foundations. According to The Worldthis investigation was widened again at the instigation of Alix AM and into new offenses: the misuse of corporate assets and the dissemination of misleading information to the markets by former managers over the period between 2022 and 2024.
Justice has in its sights the costs spent by Atos with consulting firms (McKinsey), audits (EY) and even lawyers (Darrois, Rothschild, Baker McKenzie).
