The Diplomatic Foundation finances ten associations managing student houses

Ten associations managing student houses in different regions of the Kingdom received, Thursday in Rabat, financial support from the Diplomatic Foundation, in the presence of the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, Naïma Ben Yahia, and the Kingdom’s ambassador from Saudi Arabia to Rabat, Sami bin Abdullah Al-Saleh.

This support is part of the implementation of the recommendations of the annual diplomatic charity gala, organized by the Diplomatic Foundation, under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, and the effective Presidency by HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, in partnership with the Saudi Arabian Embassy and in coordination with the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family.

On this occasion, Ms. Ben Yahia underlined that support for student houses allows young people to benefit from an integrated educational environment, in line with the objectives of human development and contributes to forming a generation able to actively participate in the life of the society and the country.

She reaffirmed the constant commitment of the ministry to support all noble initiatives promoting social justice, equal opportunities and the strengthening of social protection mechanisms, in accordance with the High Guidelines of His Majesty the King, who surrounds with particular concern the vulnerable categories and ensures the consolidation of the foundations of a united and equitable society.

The minister also highlighted the depth and solidity of the cooperative relations between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, noting that they are experiencing constant evolution in the service of common interests, through a broad mobilization of the different actors (diplomatic corps, economic partners, artists and civil society).

For his part, the president of the Diplomatic Foundation, Abdelati Habek, indicated that this initiative aims to support the associations managing student houses, as spaces promoting equal opportunities, the fight against school dropout and the improvement of learning conditions, particularly in rural areas, through accommodation, support and training services.

Mr. Habek highlighted on this occasion the role played by the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in supporting vulnerable categories and strengthening inclusion policies.

And to add that the commitment of the Diplomatic Foundation and its partners reflects a collective awareness of the need to provide these associations with the necessary means, emphasizing that support for these social initiatives constitutes a real investment in human capital, a pillar of all sustainable development.

For his part, Mr. Al-Saleh considered that the partnership between the embassy and the Diplomatic Foundation represents a successful model of bilateral cooperation, illustrating the solidity of relations between the two countries and their leaders.

The diplomat also emphasized the importance of charitable action in promoting the values ​​of solidarity, through the support provided to the most vulnerable categories.

He further noted that this initiative highlights a distinctive aspect of cooperation, by providing support to several student houses across the Kingdom of Morocco, which play an essential role in terms of social protection in a spirit of solidarity.

The ten associations having benefited from this financial support represent the regions of Marrakech-Safi, Béni Mellal-Khénifra, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, Guelmim-Oued Noun, Oriental, Souss-Massa and Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima.
