Let’s resist and propose with the SNEP-FSU

For the SNEP-FSU, the fight against austerity policies takes place on a daily basis on the ground where users and agents suffer the consequences. The SNEP-FSU is one of the essential tools to counter isolation and withdrawal while recreating connections.

Public spending per university student (excluding CPGE/STS) illustrates these harmful policies. From 12,460 euros in 2014, it is still 12,460 euros in 2024. But between these two years, inflation reached 20.5%, the expenditure should have been increased by 2,540 euros or 15,012 euros just to maintain the same budgetary commitment!!! (Source DEPP, INSEE)

This budget reduction weakens public services, education, ESR and degrades working and study conditions for students and staff. This leads to a loss of meaning in our professions and amounts to sacrificing students and therefore youth.

This situation benefits the development of the private and commercial sectors at the same time as it increases inequalities, and has considerably weakened our democracy for years, contrary to the desire for rearmament and militarization, our model is part of solutions to strengthen social cohesion.

For Romain Rolland “even without hope the struggle is still a hope” and for G. Bachelard “the future is not what will happen, but what we will do”. Nothing is written in advance!

So let’s continue collectively now and for the start of the school year, the construction and promotion of another social model, emancipatory including the development of ESR in all its dimensions with its PE teachers, APSAs and sport for all.
