3. The Walloon decree was passed this Thursday, April 9, 2026: robot mowers can no longer operate between 6 p.m. and 9 a.m.
This time it’s done. The proposed decree from the Minister of Nature, Anne-Catherine Dalcq, and the Minister of Animal Welfare, Adrien Dolimont, regarding the use of robot mowers was adopted by the Walloon government this Thursday, April 9.
From now on, these machines can no longer operate at any time of the day or night. Between 6 p.m. and 9 a.m., they must remain at their base. There are 2 exceptions. One concerns the maintenance of sports fields, which is subject to specific timetables, and the other relates to requirements linked to public security, for example around airports.

5. Eddy Merckx hospitalized for a new hip infection: he should be operated on Monday
Eddy Merckx is clearly not done with his health problems. For a week, he has been suffering from a hip infection which required hospitalization. In the clinic for a week, the five-time winner of the Tour de France is currently on antibiotics while waiting for the infection to subside.
