In order to support its counterparties in this process and in response to a strong demand for training, the AFD group launched in 2020 an online training platform in English dedicated to procurement. This e-learning platform allowed those who wished to do so to train despite the constraints of the health situation, in the absence of face-to-face training.
Good news: this course is now available in French! The French-speaking partners of the AFD group can therefore also familiarize themselves with good procurement practices.

Interactive modules and numerous practical cases
The main questions addressed are: Â
- What changes for a beneficiary when he/she has to work with AFD funding?
- How to properly use AFD’s standard tender documents? And organize each stage of the handover well?
The course includes 18 interactive modules and numerous practical cases detailing all the stages of awarding contracts for works, supplies and intellectual services. It allows you to obtain a certificate and a digital badge (“Open Badge”).
Finally, there is a frequently asked questions section, with more than 130 questions/answers and summary sheets on around thirty themes.
Free courses accessible to all
For all people interested in the subject, and in particular those involved in the award of contracts financed by the AFD group, the course platform is available now. Participants, once registered, can select the language of their choice (French or English) and follow the course at their own pace. Important note: this course is completely free.
