Friday April 10, the Notre-Dame des Anges private college celebrates obtaining the ADS label.
Integrate digital technology into teaching practices in classes. The challenge is taken up at Notre-Dame des Anges college. For several years, the private establishment which welcomes some 400 students in year 6e à la 3e as well as Segpa classes (Adapted General and Professional Education Section) puts tablets in the hands of middle school students. “iPads are used as teaching tools with varied uses depending on the teacher: course support, distribution of documents or innovative applications, particularly in science with augmented reality”details director Marc Aribert, noting what“the students continue to write†but it also allows “alléger the schoolbags”.ÂThis evolution of learning is also accompanied by transformation in the classrooms, some of which are arranged in a flexible manner, with adapted furniture. “promoting group work, mobility and autonomy of students”. Teaching becomes less “let them come down”.leaving more room “through the exploration and involvement of students, we encourage young people to discover the concepts that we are going to work on”.
Only around twenty establishments
The establishment is preparing to receive the Apple Distinguished School (ADS) label on Friday April 10. A national recognition which promotes an innovative pedagogical vision and a coherent implementation of digital technology in the service of student success. “This is the project of a whole team of which I am particularly proud”. Initiated in the 2000s, this project has continued to develop until reaching different labels. A presentation video sent to London by the apple brand by the educational team enabled the establishment to be selected for obtaining the ADS label, like only around twenty in France and for a period of three years, like that of Saint-Pierre-la-Mer (Saint-Cyprien). A label that rewards “a collective commitment and an educational vision resolutely turned towards the future”concludes the head of the establishment.
