On March 20, you signed an agreement with the Dunkirk public prosecutor’s office. What is its objective?

This convention aims to strengthen the protection of people and ensure the best possible treatment of situations. It is part of the continuity of everything we have undertaken since 2021 in terms of child protection and the fight against harassment.

Today, what is the process when there is a suspicion of school bullying ?

Each establishment has a trained person. In three years, 370 people have been trained in our 280 establishments. The work is based on theoretical reminders, feedback and awareness. Each establishment also develops its own tools to identify weak signals and listen to young people.

In what cases do you refer a situation to the prosecution?

As soon as there is a suspicion, we can rely on an agreement with victim support structures to establish an initial contact and analyze the situation. Then, a direct link with the public prosecutor’s office can be established if necessary. The principle is to favor the feedback of information in case of doubt to refine discernment.

Do all harassment situations go to justice?

No. There is daily work in establishments to regulate situations internally. This requires the quality of relationships, listening units and the intervention of specialized psychologists. The objective is to provide the fairest response possible, without being disproportionate.

In what situations do you call on child protection?

We are not spared from these situations. The work carried out in recent years has made it possible to better identify them. At first, this led to an increase in cases identified, then, thanks to training and field work, we are now seeing a decline, even if these situations still exist.
