Before the exchange, the University Council and the Board of Directors of Lac Hong University and the Lac Hong bilingual establishment (elementary, secondary and high school) met with the Consul General of the United States. Presenting nearly 30 years of development and numerous successes in training, scientific research and national and international technological competitions, representatives of Lac Hong University highlighted the numerous partnerships established with the United States. The university has notably collaborated with Arizona State University (United States) and several American companies established in Vietnam in the field of semiconductors and chip manufacturing. These American commercial partners have also supported the university in the training and development of numerous teachers, particularly in the field of new technologies.

The university is rapidly developing its training in the fields of semiconductors and artificial intelligence (AI). Several of its programs are currently accredited by ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology Education) in the United States.

During the meeting, Ms. Melissa Brown expressed her attachment to Vietnam, its people, its history and its culture, and highly praised the establishment’s constant efforts to improve the quality of its training according to international standards and create a dynamic learning environment. According to the Consul General, these efforts not only benefit the students of the institution, but also contribute significantly to the training of high-quality human resources for Dong Nai province and the entire country.
Ms. Melissa Brown stressed that the visit of the delegation of the Consulate General of the United States to Lac Hong University is of particular importance, as Vietnam and the United States are preparing to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations. Turning the page, Vietnam and the United States are now global strategic partners, with their bilateral trade expected to reach nearly $210 billion by 2025.

In the context of a globalized economy, international cooperation in education plays an essential role. The United States particularly welcomes exemplary joint programs, such as the close collaboration between Lac Hong University and Arizona State University. This provides a solid foundation for equipping students with critical thinking skills, teamwork and the ability to master cutting-edge technologies such as AI, biotechnology and semiconductors. The Consul General affirmed that the United States appreciates the opportunity to be a partner, collaborator and ally of the university in order to contribute to the development of future generations.
