On the morning of April 5, the first phase of the aptitude test organized by the Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City was held simultaneously in 57 examination centers across the country, with 133,489 candidates participating, reaching a participation rate of 98.33% compared to the number of candidates registered – the highest rate since the introduction of the exam.

Dr Vo Que, vice-rector of Quang Trung University and head of the examination organizing committee at the institution’s site, said preparations were carried out carefully and in advance, ensuring that all stages of the operation would go smoothly in accordance with regulations, safely and seriously.
“Faced with the significant increase in the number of candidates, the establishment has taken all the necessary measures in terms of infrastructure, personnel and assistance systems to ensure the smooth running of the exam. From the reception and orientation of candidates to the monitoring of the tests, everything was organized with rigor and in compliance with the regulations,” underlined Dr Vo Que.

Numerous teams of student volunteers mobilized to guide them, inform them and create a reassuring atmosphere before their entry into the examination rooms.

Ms Thanh Mai, the applicant’s mother, said that although it was not the official university entrance exam, many schools used these results for admissions, and so the family had made arrangements to support their child.
