In September 2025, as part of Planetary Health Week, Université Paris Cité organized the first edition of the Créathon: 48 hours during which around fifty students, united in multidisciplinary teams, were invited to imagine concrete solutions to socio-ecological challenges.

Designed as a space for collective experimentation, the Créathon allowed participants to develop concrete projects, but also transversal skills and real power to act.

Among the initiatives resulting from this dynamic, a solidarity market and solidarity grocery project at the IUT Paris – Rives de Seine has for example emerged, supported by a group of students determined to respond to the issues of food insecurity while promoting more responsible consumption modes Continuing, some of the participants continued the experience by integrating the “Explore and get involved” course, giving birth to the posters presented in this exhibition.

An exhibition inaugurated last month at the IUT Rives-de-Seine

“Explore and engage” was inaugurated on March 23 at the IUT Paris Rives-de-Seine in the presence of Édouard Kaminski, President of the Université Paris Cité, Hassine Moungla, director of the IUT, as well as Professor Jean-Charles Cadoret, scientific manager of the PARIS program

During their speeches, all three recalled the importance of structuring initiatives such as the Créathon, which allow students to get concretely involved in proposing solutions to socio-ecological challenges. All three underlined the importance of the need to train profiles capable of moving from reflection to action, in coherence with planetary health, the driving force of the University Paris Cité.

More than a simple exhibition, “Explore and Engage” appears as the visible continuity of a broader process: that of a university which tests, listens and, above all, begins to integrate the ideas of its students – with, as a result, projects which do not remain at the stage of intention, but are already beginning to concretely transform the terrain.
