A restaurant that combines balance and low prices

The Crous restoration saves an average score of 6,8/10in constant progression, i.e. 0.6 points more than in 2024. These results come from the survey carried out in November 2025 among 58,592 people having used the Izly service, made up of 85% students, including 53.8% scholarship holders.

Today, more than 8 out of 10 students recommend them university restaurantsattracted primarily by the price of meals, the possibility of eating healthy and balanced as well as the proximity of Restos U to their places of study. This enthusiasm is confirmed by a satisfaction rate of 75% for the quality of the dishes, which thus validates the strategy focused on…homemade… and the use of organic or labeled products.

The choice offered in the window or at the self-service counter has also increased by 10 points in one year, with a diversity increasingly appreciated by regulars, including 21.7% live in university residence.

Orientation fairs not to be missed!

From September to June, Studyrama organizes Higher Studies fairs throughout France! This is an opportunity to discover hundreds of baccalaureate to bac+5 training courses, to talk with educational leaders to ask them all your questions! You will also be able to attend numerous conferences around themes linked to orientation: Parcoursup, professions, sectors, opportunities…

The Crous as a new place of conviviality

Beyond the plate, the atmosphere of the restaurant spaces is popular with 90% of respondents. Cafeterias and Restos U are perceived as warm places to share where students come to enjoy their meal as a group and they appreciate the professionalism (93%) as well as the kindness of the agents (91 %).

However, the success of the structures creates a major logistical challenge with more than half of the students mentioning a dissatisfaction due to waiting time (53%) during the lunch break. This is a crucial point of vigilance for the Crous, while the survey reveals that 32 % of respondents have less than 45 minutes to eat lunch.

More modern and secure accommodation

On the housing side, residents’ appreciation reached a rating of 7/10. This part of the study requested 12 028 tenants installed since the start of the school year, a panel almost exclusively student (98.7%) including 48.1% scholarship holders and the same number of first-time entrants.

If the moderate rent remains the main asset, the proximity to campus remains the first criterion of choice for nearly 70% of respondents. This appeal is reinforced by the renovation efforts which are bearing fruit, particularly on thelayout of spaces and condition of furniturewhich now appeal to more than three out of four occupants.

At the same time, life in a university residence is mostly perceived as quietly and safely (83%) and benefits from almost general access to Wi-Fi (97%), a fundamental expectation for successful studies.

Areas of progress identified for the future

Despite this positive assessment, room for improvement remains for the Crous according to direct feedback from respondents. Soundproofing, particularly in the oldest residences, remains a source of dissatisfaction for half of tenants (51%). The latter also express strong expectations regarding theimprovement of collective facilitiessuch as laundromats, music or sports rooms.

Nevertheless, with more 44 millions meals served in 2025 and a reception capacity exceeding the 175 000 unitsthe Crous network demonstrates its ability to evolve its structures to meet the needs of students.
