Return to the visit of the delegation from the Technological University of Silesia (Poland) to the UFR MIM – Factual – Info from the University of Lorraine

On Wednesday March 25, 2026, the UFR MIM welcomed a delegation from the Technological University of Silesia (SUT) in Gliwice, Poland, accompanied by Aurore Mac-Intosch from the DRIE – International Mobility of Nancy.

The delegation discussed training, educational tools and student support systems with the UFR MIM teams. The delegation was composed of:

  • GraÅżyna Maszniewdirector of the Study Services Center,
  • Sabina Gorczyca-Kamajhead of the Admissions Office,
  • Bogumiła Patejuktuniversity coordinator of the teaching load and responsible for recruiting international students.

After an exchange of welcome gifts, a presentation of the UFR MIM was made, followed by questions on the diversity of international students, their level of French, their success rate and their post-DU career paths. Visitors also expressed interest in the masters offerings, in particularMMSP et BioCadwhile emphasizing the need to increase courses in English.

The delegation then presented the Silesian Technological University, before discussing the digital tools used for teaching and monitoring students (ENT, Apogée, ADE). Recruitment platforms likeParcourSup, CampusFrance, ecandidat and monMaster were also discussed.

The visit continued with a discovery of the infrastructures of the UFR MIM, including the lecture halls, the cafeteria, the examination rooms and the practical work rooms. The guests particularly appreciated theLISA student association room.

This meeting made it possible to explore new perspectives for collaboration between our establishments, particularly in terms of international mobility and pedagogical innovation.
