Sevestre: a big day out for kids
Monday, April 6th, Sevestre Pool will be transformed into a true water park for a special day called Instants Ludiques XXL. Inflatable structures, games, slides, balls, and water activities will take over the pools to provide children with a fun and energetic experience. This special day promises moments of laughter and challenges in the water, in a friendly and family atmosphere.
Aquazena: First Aquafitness Night before closure for maintenance
Another highlight of the season: the very first Aquafitness Night organized by Aquazena on Saturday, April 18th. The program includes a dynamic evening combining aquasport, music, and dance in a festive atmosphere. Starting the next day, Sunday, April 19th, until Sunday, May 2nd, Aquazena pool will be exceptionally closed for maintenance.
Swimming courses during the holidays
During school holidays, several swimming courses will be offered to allow everyone to progress at their own pace. Two sessions are scheduled: from April 20th to 25th and then from April 27th to May 1st. These courses are for beginners and intermediate-level swimmers, and are also open to adults wishing to learn or improve their technique.
Among the new activities, a Mermaid course will be organized from April 27th to 30th. This original activity invites participants to discover the monofin and experience a swimming style inspired by mermaids. Fun and accessible, this initiation promises a unique aquatic experience.
“Learn to Swim” campaign and drowning prevention: essential prevention courses
Holidays are also a good time to organize free refresher courses for students from our primary schools as part of the “Learn to Swim” campaign. Implemented with the national education system and the city’s pools, this initiative aims to strengthen water skills and confidence in students so that they reach the expected level before entering middle school. These courses are free for families. Practical information regarding the dates, times, and registration procedures for future courses, if scheduled, will be communicated to the parents of the concerned students. Additionally, this year, CLAVIM and Club Issy Triathlon have partnered to offer three “Learn to Swim” courses to 36 children from leisure centers, with the support of the Youth, Commitment, and Sports Department of Hauts-de-Seine. Supervised by the educators of Club Issy Triathlon, the children received ten hours of free swimming initiation.
Drowning prevention
In collaboration with the National Sea Rescue Society, Sevestre Pool is organizing a Drowning Prevention Day on Saturday, April 11th. This event aims to raise awareness among the public about the dangers of water and provide prevention solutions. Children will have the opportunity to take the official evaluations for the “Pass nautique”, “Learn to Swim Safely”, and “Learn to Swim in Natural Environment” for free.
