Britta Teckentrup: The Big and the Little Hedgehog: The Easter Bunny
Recommended age: from 3 years
The big and the little hedgehog are up very early this morning. It’s Easter, and the little hedgehog really wishes to meet the Easter Bunny. So, the two quickly set off on their way. In their search, they meet many other animals all on the hunt for eggs. The grumpy mole, the turtles, and even a rabbit family cross their path. They all have a tip for the two hedgehogs, but they can’t find the Easter Bunny. Could it be that he doesn’t exist after all? But then, he suddenly appears before them and asks the little hedgehog for help. The Easter Bunny has a whole basket of eggs to distribute, and time is running out. Naturally, the two hedgehogs are there to help him.
“This beautiful picture book convinced me with its quiet, calm, and artful illustrations that fascinate both young and old alike. The story touches on not only the Easter theme but also friendship, curiosity, and the great joy of spending time with someone you love.”
