Disney+ is about to trade uninterrupted binges for a few well placed ad breaks, with a cheaper subscription tier option locked in for Australia and New Zealand subscribers.
The move brings the streamer in line with all major rivals already cashing in on the rise of ad supported viewing, with similar tiers already offered in select overseas markets, while introducing a lower entry point into its deep catalogue of content.

Disney+ is set to introduce a new ad-supported subscription plan in Australia and New Zealand in the coming months, offering consumers more choice, flexibility and value when selecting a plan to suit their streaming needs.Â
The new “Standard with Ads†plan will be available at an attractive price point alongside the current Standard and Premium plans.Â
