The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is getting closer on consoles with a date now set for November 19, 2026 on PS5 et Xbox Series X|S. There remains a big unknown that annoys the PC community: when the computer version of GTA 6 will it finally arrive, while Rockstar Games still officially silent?
A new leak is relaunching the debate today: according to several ex-Rockstar developers interviewed by an insider, the PC version would aim for a very specific release at the beginning of 2027, much closer to consoles than usual for the studio. Enough to give hope to the players, but also to ask a lot of questions.

On X, the user DetectiveSeeds explains having contacted more than 90 ex-employees of Rockstar Games having worked on GTA 6 before leaving the studio. Three of them would have responded with the same internal window. Quoted by Gamingbible, he summarizes their feedback in a now viral message.
“Grand Theft Auto VI is aiming for a release of the PC version in February 2027. Everyone said that this schedule could change, but Take-Two and Rockstar wanted to release the game before the end of the fiscal year. I contacted 90 people, three answered me,” writes DetectiveSeeds. An internal target therefore, to be taken with caution.

Waiting until February 2027 then becomes much more reasonable than in previous Rockstar games, especially since the PC version will be able to aim for higher resolutions and a higher frame rate, depending on the configuration.
The platform will also offer access to single-player mods, as well as advanced graphics options, even if the new version of GTA Online should stay very strict on cheating.
