This Wednesday, April 8 at 11 a.m., the village once again demonstrated the strength of its solidarity commitment. The collective of local associations presented a check for €5,000 to the Conductive Education Center (CEC).
At the origin of this mobilization, several village associations united around a common objective: supporting the center’s actions. “It was Julien who brought together several associations for a solidarity event”underlines Gérard Querci, an essential figure in this collective dynamic. Despite the hazards of participation, the main thing is elsewhere: “You are pillars. We know that we can count on you”he adds, addressing other members of participatory associations. “Thanks to the joint involvement of blood donors, the library and Clarens’aide, numerous actions were carried out throughout the year. Among them, the meal organized in September or a music recital festival in Langlade, which brought together 367 participants. A beautiful success which has made it possible to generate significant revenue. In addition, there are various initiatives such as solidarity sales, particularly around jams. Today, we are giving back the check from the previous year.continues Gérard, before officially announcing the amount of €5,000, greeted by applause. And the dynamic doesn’t stop there: “A new meal is already planned for September 12, as well as a musical recital on November 8, with four new choirs.”
On the CEC side, the emotion is palpable. Julien Grau, representative of the center, would like to express his gratitude: “In the village, the support is incredible. It’s huge for us.” He emphasizes the importance of this local support, which makes it possible to keep the projects alive and best support the beneficiaries. “We feel the village behind us”he concludes, saluting the lasting commitment of the associations and the spirit of solidarity which animates the entire commune.
