The Gravel du drac returns for a new sporty and friendly edition. The village of Salviac is preparing to host a new edition of this sporting event, Sunday April 12. Organized by the Salviac Cyclotourisme club, this day offers cycling and hiking enthusiasts the opportunity to discover the landscapes of Bouriane using routes suitable for all levels.
On the program there will be several circuits of 40, 60 and 80 kilometers, mixing white paths, forest tracks and small roads typical of the region. Cyclists who prefer asphalt will not be forgotten with cycle touring routes of 60 and 85 kilometers. Walkers will also be able to take part in the celebration thanks to a route of approximately 11 kilometers, designed especially for them.
The gathering point for this event, which has become a popular meeting place for nature cycling enthusiasts, will take place at the Salviac village hall, route de Gourdon, and the start will be given from 8 a.m. The organizers specify that gravel bikes, mountain bikes and electrically assisted mountain bikes are also accepted on the routes. As is the tradition of cycle tourism, the day will take place in a festive and friendly atmosphere. Several refreshment points will mark the different routes and participants will be able to share a soup upon arrival. As the adage says: “after the effort there is comfort”, this moment of relaxation and rapprochement is always greatly appreciated.
Beyond the sporting aspect, the Gravel du drac is also an invitation to discover the landscapes of Bouriane in a different way, between valleys, forests and limestone paths which make up the charm of the south of the Lot. Each year, the event attracts participants from the department but also from neighboring areas, attracted by the quality of the courses and the Salviac welcome. Registrations are possible online or on site the same day.
