The news is confirmed by the organizers of the LFL: Skillcamp will participate in the 2026 season under the status of an invited team. A promotion which rewards their solid performance during the LFL Invitational, made possible by the recent upheavals within the French ecosystem.

Un repêchage logique au cœur de la tempête administrative

The regular season cast of the French League of Legends (LFL) is now complete (well, normally). The governing bodies have officially put an end to the suspense by announcing the integration of Skillcamp for the Spring and Summer 2026 segments. The structure will evolve under the status of invited team, a precarious but very precious sesame which opens the doors to the highest level in France. This announcement seals a particularly unstable period behind the scenes, marked by withdrawals and sanctions which have completely redesigned the competitive landscape.

Skillcamp’s accession to this status is a direct result of the forced reorganization of the league in recent days. Initially, the LFL Invitational was to grant two invited places to the best non-elite structures. However, the refusal of the French Flair project (even though third in the tournament) to keep its place reshuffled the cards. At the same time, the administrative exclusion of BK ROG Esports forced the LFL to promote the TLN Pirates to the rank of permanent partner. Faced with these two invited places suddenly vacant, Skillcamp naturally emerged as the priority candidate. As the highest ranked non-LFL structure behind the Pirates and French Flair, the team logically recovers the first of two precious tickets for the regular season, the second going to the ZYB Esport project.

A validated place on Summoner’s Rift

If administrative circumstances accelerated the process, Skillcamp in no way stole its place, relying on particularly solid sporting bases during the recent winter tournament. Even before joining the demanding Super Group, the team had already crossed the first group stage with authority, notably achieving benchmark victories against PCS and BK ROG. Promoted to the next round, the team once again proved its ability to compete over time with established teams. She closed this second group phase with a positive record of five victories for four defeats, thus taking sixth place in the general ranking ahead of structures like BK ROG or ZYB Esport.

This ranking allowed him to get his ticket to the playoffs of the competition. Although their journey in the Lower Bracket came to an abrupt end in the first round, with a dry defeat against the very experienced squad of French Flair, the essentials were already assured. By reaching the final stages of this pre-season event, Skillcamp demonstrated that its collective had the level required to join the professional circuit. The structure now has a few days to adjust its preparation and approach the Spring Split with the ambition of shaking up the LFL hierarchy.
