Thursday, April 2 in the afternoon, the 4th grade students from LEAP (Private Agricultural Education High School) La Rouatière left the classrooms for a practical work session in the open air. As part of their Animal EPI (Interdisciplinary Practical Teaching), and accompanied by their teacher Ms. Brunel as well as by the AESH (Supporting Students with Disabilities) and AVS-I (Individual School Assistant) teams, they went to one of the establishment’s partner educational farms to actively participate in maintenance of the site. This educational outing is a concrete illustration of La Rouatière’s commitments, according to its managers: learning through action, in this case by taking care of the layout of spaces and the care of animals. An active pedagogy in the field which, according to them, responds to the growing interest of young people in practical training in the agricultural sector. Inclusion at the heart of the project through the essential presence of AESH/AVS-I allows specific and individualized support, guaranteeing each student, whatever their particularities, to succeed.

“Faithful to its mission of social promotion and rural revitalization, La Rouatière continues to place its learners at the heart of the realities of the territory,” indicates the management of LEAP La Rouatière, which invites the public to an Open Day on Wednesday, April 15, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Contact: 04 68 60 03 61.
