Tuesday morning snow expected to affect Omaha metro drive
A First Alert 6 Weather Day has been called for Tuesday as sleet and snow have produced slick conditions during the morning commute in the Omaha metro.
Meteorologist Jaret Lansford writes in the First Alert 6 Traffic blog that road conditions vary across the metro, though the worst is being seen the further east you go.
“Watch for wet roads at best and snow covering roads as you move toward downtown into Council Bluffs,” Lansford says.
Drivers are warned that intersections, curves and ramps will be slick and require extra caution. If you’re heading out to work or school, you’re asked to leave extra time for morning travel.
