AMD has confirmed the availability du Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition From April 22. The official MSRP is not yet communicated, making these anticipated pages difficult to interpret as final prices. As an indication, £906 would be close to €1,060,1080 including tax depending on the exchange rate and local taxation, while CA$1,375 would be around $940,960 excluding tax.

Dual 3D V-Cache on AM5

The 9950X3D2 is the first Ryzen desktop to feature 3D V-Cache on its two 8-core CCDs. There are 16 cores, 32 threads, 192 MB of L3, 208 MB of total cache, a boost to 5.6 GHz and a TDP of 200 W.

It will be positioned above the classic Ryzen 9 9950X3D, launched at 16 cores, 32 threads, up to 5.7 GHz, 128 MB of L3, 170 W of TDP and 699 $ (approximately 650–670 € excluding VAT at launch). The expected overhead comes from the two cache stacks and the increased power envelope.

If the prices displayed were confirmed, the difference with the 9950X3D would be notable. In practice, the positioning will depend on the gain in throughput on loads sensitive to memory latency and L3, particularly in gaming and on certain data-intensive loads, and on AMD’s ability to avoid cannibalization with existing X3Ds.
