The Roudour training organization is deploying its offer of short courses to boost the learning of Breton. With 5-day sessions spread throughout Brittany and possible funding via the CPF, summer 2026 promises to be an ideal opportunity to (re)learn the Breton language.

Faced with the growing demand from Bretons wishing to relearn or perfect their language, Roudour is increasing its initiatives. The organization now offers numerous short courses allowing intensive immersion without disrupting your schedule.

Five days to build momentum

The concept is simple but effective: five consecutive days of complete immersion in a Breton environment. “Spending 5 days with other learners and accompanied by our trainers will give a good boost to your learning,” explains Roudour.

The advantage of these short courses lies in their flexibility. With many sessions scheduled, everyone can choose the dates and location that suits them. A pragmatic approach that facilitates access to language training for both active and retired people.

Summer 2026 will see Roudour deploy no less than ten courses across Brittany in July and August. Quimper will host two separate sessions, while Lorient, Lannion, Carhaix, Pontivy, Brest, Plestin-les-Grèves, Lesneven and Douarnenez will each offer their own course.

This decentralization makes it possible to reach a wider audience and avoid exclusive concentration on large urban centers. Learners can thus follow their training as close to home as possible.

A significant point: these courses can be financed via the Personal Training Account (CPF). Although the rules for using the CPF have tightened at the start of 2026, it remains possible to use this system for learning Breton.

5-day courses from level A2 are eligible for the CPF. Learners can check their available balance on moncompteformation.gouv.fr and find specific links for each internship on the Roudour website.

Next deadline: April 2026

Those in a hurry will be able to participate in the courses scheduled from April 13 to 17, 2026. Five levels are offered, from A1 (complete beginner) to C1 (advanced level), allowing everyone to find the training suited to their profile.

For those who do not know their level, Roudour offers an assessment test directly online on its website.

The long training course “Speak Breton in 9 months”

Beyond short courses, Roudour continues to promote its flagship training “Speaking Breton in 9 months”. Information meetings are organized throughout the spring and summer, online and in training centers. The next information session will take place online on Wednesday April 8 at 5 p.m.
