As part of the L’Affabulation festival which takes place from April 3 to 11, 2026, the Perpignan site of the Faculty of Education of the University of Montpellier opens its doors to the public around storytelling on Thursday April 9, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
At the heart of the L’Affabulation festival, the first edition for the Parole à part association, a stop is planned in Perpignan, at the Faculty of Education this Thursday, April 9. “A highlight for adults in the presence of university teaching professionals and storytellers”confides the artistic director of the festival, Wilfried Delahaie.
The theme “making the dead dance and telling stories through the body” will discuss the relationship with musicality and “how the voice can lead to active listening” around a round table. And in the presence of three international storytellers. All day long, shows will be offered around the world of storytelling, between professionals and academics. Stages open to both adults and children aged 3 and over.
“It’s not common for the Faculty of Education to open its doors. It’s a great opportunity”continues the artistic director.
For the rest of the festival, in Perpignan, a closing day is organized on Saturday April 11 at the Nautilus. At 4 p.m., the Bernadet.te show will be performed followed by a debate on genres in marvelous tales and “how to make a story contemporary”. A closing evening at 8:30 p.m. will punctuate this first edition where the three international storytellers will present a shared creation before moving on to a festive moment with music.
