Consider loading capacity and optimize investment costs for truck models.

Quoc Viet Can Tho Automobile Joint Stock Company presents and exhibits Foton truck models, mainly focusing on light trucks.

For the transport of goods in urban areas, vans are predominant. This is mainly due to regulations relating to loading times and urban road infrastructure. Small trucks offer great flexibility for traveling on narrow roads and bridges, with limited load capacities. Their compact size also makes them suitable for the small-scale transport needs of individual companies.

Generally speaking, vans are those with a payload of less than 5 tonnes. This segment is subdivided into subcategories in order to optimize taxation, duties and road regulations. These include ultra-light vans with a payload of less than 1 tonne (500 kg, 750 kg, 990 kg), such as the Foton Gratour, Thaco Towner, Suzuki Carry and SRM, particularly suited to city traffic.

In the 1.5 to 2.5 ton truck segment, notable models include the Thaco Kia, Hyundai New Porter H150 and New Mighty N250/N250SL, Isuzu Q series, Foton Ollin, etc. These models typically have long cargo decks, allowing them to carry a large amount of cargo.

The 2.5 to 5 ton segment includes Foton Aumark (S series), Isuzu N series, Hino 300 series (XZU), JAC N series, etc. These models are very suitable for interprovincial transportation of agricultural and aquatic products in the Mekong Delta region.

Currently, according to regulations in force in certain large cities, trucks whose gross vehicle weight (GVW) exceeds 5 tonnes or whose payload exceeds 2.5 tonnes are often prohibited from entering urban areas during rush hours. Therefore, trucks weighing less than 2.5 tonnes are still favored by companies, depending on their transport needs.

According to Ms. Truong Thi Thoa, Deputy General Manager of Quoc Viet Can Tho Automobile Joint Stock Company, buyers always consider the investment cost, return on investment and profitability when purchasing a truck. Faced with the tightening of regulations regarding loading capacity and vehicle inspection, the brand is no longer the main criterion. Above all, customers are looking for the most practical transport solution, i.e. optimized loading capacity to maximize profits.

The tightening of regulations relating to vehicle registration and their loading capacity is forcing customers to be more rigorous in their calculations. They no longer choose their vehicles based on the brand, but rather on their functionality. The ideal vehicle for a customer is one that optimizes the volume of goods transported per trip, especially given today’s rising costs, such as fuel prices and bank interest rates.
