In Clendenin, West Virginia, a woman broke into a chicken coop where two people were living and was stabbed, resulting in her facing charges.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office reported that Anna Groves of Clendenin, West Virginia, forced her way into the chicken coop and was met by one of the occupants, as per WKRC.

Deputies mentioned that Groves was stabbed during the incident.

Authorities responded to a disturbance on March 31 and discovered a man and his daughter on the scene. The man claimed he heard a woman threaten him as he returned to the coop.

The man’s daughter recounted that she was sleeping inside when Anna Groves and Jason Groves attempted to enter. She defended herself by pulling out a knife and stabbing Anna Groves.

Although both Anna Groves and Jason Groves had left before deputies arrived, Charleston Police Department informed them that a stabbing victim had been admitted to a hospital.

During an interview with officials, Anna Groves admitted going to the chicken coop to address the man’s daughter regarding money she believed was stolen. She claimed she intended to assault the woman without making any death threats.

Anna Groves was charged with felony burglary, and a warrant for her arrest was issued, as per WOWK.

The woman who allegedly stabbed Anna Groves did not face any charges, according to WSAZ.
