These new chocolates available in our Carrefours allow us to succumb to the Dubai and animal trends.

When shopping at the moment, you can’t miss Easter. All the hypermarkets are overflowing with chocolate everywhere, with eggs, rabbits and colorful baskets that are too cute. If you’re a little greedy, you still want to break down and buy a few small chocolates. Maybe you won’t necessarily go and hide them in the garden, but you might be able to offer them as a surprise to children, or have a little snack during the Easter period. But then, which supermarket should you go to to find the best chocolates? If you have a Carrefour nearby, which is the case for millions of French people, no need to go further But then, why would the new chocolates be “.better“than the others?

What are the new Easter chocolates from Carrefour?

We never really noticed that the chocolates sold by Carrefour for Easter were more or less the same every year. We’re not really loyal to a single brand when it comes to having chocolates at Easter. Many of us have Easter chocolates becauseThey are on their way to go do other errands. However, we are very happy to eat it in the days that follow (or even the same day for those with a sweet tooth).

The two main new features from Carrefour actually follow two different trends. The first is almost obvious, it is pistachio. With the rise of Dubai chocolate, pistachio found itself in bakeries everywhere. In trompe l’Å“il, in chocolate, in bars. And now in our Å“ufs de
Pâques
. For this year, Carrefour unveils the Giant Chocolate Pistachio Egg.

The other trend has nothing to do with chocolates or Easter. These are animal prints. We have seen them everywhere in decoration and they are also shaping up to be a big trend this year. Carrefour decides to take up this theme by making large chocolates in the shape of animals, with aluminum packaging featuring the animals. We have the lion, the zebra, the crocodile and the leopard.

First of all, if we are in the habit of always buying the same chocolates, this change our habits. Children need innovation sometimes. And if it can be done with indulgence during the Easter holidays, we love it. The large chocolate and pistachio egg is made up of white chocolate and 3.7% roasted pistachio that the young and old can appreciate. It’s not at all as intense as a Dubai chocolate. He is at 6,49
euros
.

If this seems expensive to us, we don’t forget that this egg is a party piece. We find on the egg different drawings of a
exceptional finesse. Besides that, it remains a calorie bomb. So, we don’t eat the whole egg in one day. Unless we share it with a large family, it should last us several days, or even a week. Consequently, it comes to a suitable price for moderate consumption.

We’re onto a better deal for chocolate animals. The set of 4 is €4.59. They can be shared between a family of 4 people. The latter are milk chocolate: the taste remains completely classic. Individually, they
cost 1.89 euros. Some Carrefours also offer a promotion if you buy a second one, which pushes you to buy the whole zoo.
