Tahoua, April 2 (ANP) – The Women Leaders for the Refoundation of the Tahoua Region, from different women’s structures, organized, this Thursday, April 2, 2026, a reading session of the Holy Quran followed by Qunut at the Great Friday Prayer Mosque of the City of Tahoua.
This reading session of the Holy Quran followed by Qunut, which aims to consolidate peace, security, prosperity, development and stability in Niger, mobilized thousands of people (men and women) who stormed, early in the morning, the central mosque of Tahoua to implore God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful, protecting the country, its leaders and the FDS in the theaters of operations.
The ceremony saw the presence of the Governor of the Region, Colonel-Major Souleymane Amadou, accompanied by his close collaborators. After the completion of the two rakaats followed by alqunut, important du’as and invocations were said by eminent marabouts to implore the Almighty, the Most Merciful, peace, prosperity, stability, protection and development throughout the country.
The Governor of the Tahoua Region welcomed this highly patriotic gesture and wished to express, on behalf of the highest authorities of the country, his sincere thanks to the women of Tahoua for this laudable initiative.
Furthermore, Governor Souleymane Amadou Moussa invited other women from the departments of the Tahoua region to follow suit so that Allah (SWT) may send down his mercy and clemency on Niger, so that it regains its full and complete sovereignty, as well as the social tranquility and peace.
Ms. Abarchi Hadjia Madaniya, member of the Organizing Committee, explained that this major event is organized to implore the Good Lord, so that He sends down his mercy on Niger, but also so that peace reigns there and for the protection of the country and its leaders, the population, the FDS and all those who live in Niger, because peace is essential in AES countries. According to her, this very strong mobilization brought together all the women of Tahoua, who came to provide their support to the national and regional authorities and to implore the Good Lord for happiness for the Nigerien people.
Hadjia Madaniya also indicated that this demonstration took place thanks to the support of the authorities and goodwill, in particular the Governor of the Tahoua Region, the Chief of the Canton of Tahoua, the ulama, the men and women of the City of Tahoua. She also expressed her thanks to them, as well as to all the women who mobilized, to the press, to civil society, to the pupils and students who made this gathering a total success.
Finally, Mrs. Abarchi Hadjia Madaniya launched a call for solidarity and unity to the women of Tahoua, to denounce and fight against the enemies of the country, stressing that “our only weapon is prayer and the Holy Koran”.
Previously, the Chief of Tahoua Canton Honorable Mahamadou Moussa took the floor to express his thanks to the women organizers of this event, before welcoming this very laudable initiative, which reinforces many efforts in the search for peace, security, stability, development and support for the FDS engaged in theaters of operations.
