Powered by the in-house Tizen OS and One UI operating systems, Samsung televisions are still the best-selling in the world. However, a very practical feature generally offered elsewhere is absent: Google Cast. In this month of April 2026 it seems that the manufacturer has finally decided to correct this massive hole in its racket.

Google Cast arrives on different Samsung TVs

This feature, allowing you to quickly and easily broadcast content (video, audio, photo, etc.) to your television from an Android, ChromeOS device or even a Chrome browser, will already be integrated into the latest models from 2026. But it seems from testimonials Old televisions are also affected.

A selection of devices dating from 2023 and newer (including at least one S90D OLED TV) will benefit from an update to One UI Tizen adding native support for Google Cast. Good news since until now the distribution of content could only go through Smart View, Samsung’s in-house solution which is especially optimal when used from a Galaxy device of the brand.

This update, which should arrive on many devices over the coming weeks, also improves the home screen and adds the “Universal Gestures” functionality to simplify navigation.

At the same time, the Google Photos application is also arriving on Samsung TVs, after an announcement of arrival dating from last December.
