The Lourdes Convention Center will host a cine-concert on Saturday, April 11, with students from the Big Band and the Harmony Orchestra of the TLP urban community.

Relive the early years of cinema with musicians from the Big Band and the Harmony Orchestra of the network of artistic education in the Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées agglomeration. A time when cinema was a real live show, where music was played live on stage during the screening…

This cine-concert project, led by teachers Laurent Chabot and Cédric Cieutat, will introduce or reintroduce four silent films from the burlesque tradition in black and white: “Never Weaken” by Harold Lloyd, “One Week” by Buster Keaton, “Cops” by Buster Keaton, and “Felix the Cat” by Otto Messmer.

Join us on Saturday, April 11

The Big Band and the Harmony Orchestra, conducted by Quentin Ferradou, will bring these cinema masterpieces back to life by performing custom-made music composed by Raphaël Howson. Additionally, the Big Band will perform two commissioned creations from the Henri-Duparc Conservatory in Tarbes exclusively for the audience in Lourdes.

Many spectators are expected to attend this cine-concert on Saturday, April 11 at 6:00 pm at the Lourdes Convention Center. Free tickets available on the day of the concert, subject to availability. More information at www.conservatoire.agglo-tlp.fr.
