Arriving in Japan on Tuesday March 31 for an express state visit, Emmanuel Macron continues his commitments. For his fourth visit to the land of the rising sun, the French president met the Japanese textile artist Kunihiko Moriguchi on Tuesday, then participated, on Wednesday, in an economic forum on Franco-Japanese cooperation, visited a Franco-Japanese laboratory specializing in research in electronics and advanced biotechnology and was received by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi at Akasaka Palace in Tokyo.

The French president was accompanied by his wife, Brigitte Macron, during his meeting with Kunihiko Moriguchi. For the occasion, the First Lady wore a red suit over a cashmere sweater with a polo collar of the same color. The former teacher also took part in the welcoming ceremony organized by Sanae Takaichi, before letting her husband inspect the troops and go to a work meeting on his side. For this second engagement, the First Lady wore a beige dress topped with a matching wool coat. An outfit embellished with delicate golden heels.

An imperial lunch

Thursday April 2, Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron are expected to have lunch with Emperor Naruhito of Japan and his wife, Empress Masako. But if many photographers hoped to be able to photograph the two couples among the cherry blossoms during this period of“Hanami”, the rain currently falling on the Japanese capital risks thwarting their plans. In the afternoon of Thursday, the French presidential couple will fly to South Koreabefore an expected return to France on April 3.
