I promise, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke: One Piece is back. Well, almost. After a three-month break, the anime will resume broadcasting in Japan and on Crunchyroll in France on April 5, 2026. The twist? The series adapted from Eiichiro Oda’s manga will change format, going from an annual series to a seasonal series (therefore with half as many episodes).

And for this big return, a new arc will be offered on screen. Following the conclusion of the saga L’ÃŽle d’Egg Headit is now the saga Erbaf Island (or Elbaph) which will be staged. And manga readers know, this is as important as it is frustrating.
Why frustrating? If Luffy and his companions will attend reunions and make delightful discoveries at the beginning, they will gradually disappear in favor of flashbacks. Why important? Because we will then witness unexpected and powerful revelations about this universe and certain characters, starting with… Loki.

This will indeed be the event of this arc: a new character will take his first official steps in the anime: Loki aka the cursed prince, imprisoned for having killed his father, King Harald. And as we can see in a first teaser (see in our slideshow), this character promises us very beautiful things with a unique style and personality, as only Oda knows how to imagine them so well.
Notable point? To embody Loki, the creators turned to the side of Yuichi Nakamurawho is none other than the usual interpreter of Satoru Gojo in the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. Difficile d’être plus hypé.
