Season 4 of Lupine arrives on Netflix in fall 2026 with Omar Sy co-creator for a spectacular return mixing action and intense family intrigue.

Netflix has conquered the planet thanks to powerful and unifying fiction, capable of raising original series to the top which have become true global phenomena. The platform stood out with Lupina mischievous adaptation of the iconic gentleman-burglar imagined by Maurice Leblanc. The explosive incarnation of Omar Sy, surrounded by a charismatic ensemble of actors, has propelled the fiction into the very first places of the most viewed series on Netflix since its debut in 2021. Impossible to forget the wave caused by the first part, which remained for a time among the five most viewed series looked at in the world. Each season is accompanied by a feverish wait for fans, impatient to discover the new adventures of Assane Diop.

Since the release of the third season in fall 2023, one question has been on everyone’s lips: when and how Lupin will he come back for a fourth adventure on the platform? If the agenda still remains partially secret, information is starting to filter through and announces an unprecedented burst of adrenaline, the anticipation of which is already making the fan community shudder.

Lupine season 4 on Netflix: plot, cast and revelations on the return of the phenomenon series

Difficult to imagine the landscape of French series without Lupinwhose return is now confirmed for fall 2026 on Netflix. The announcement was played out in several stages, the streaming giant gradually revealing the clues: first official poster displaying in full “LUPINE Part 4, fall 2026” based on fan feedback, then validation from the vice-president in charge of French creation, Pauline Dauvin. His statement, made during an interview with Ouest‒France, leaves no room for doubt: “Filming is finished. We are in post-production. It is planned for broadcast in the fall”.

Filming, launched in May 2025 in the Paris region, ended the following fall, paving the way for a crucial post-production phase. The plot: at the end of the last season, Assane Diop, played by Omar Sy, chooses prison to provoke a direct face-to-face with Hubert Pellegrini, now his cell neighbor… An explosive dynamic which promises new twists and turns, sparkling confrontations, and family ties put to the test. The series intends to explore Assane’s desire to restore family life, while being caught up in old grudges – a clear promise of dramatic tension.

On the distribution side, we will find the key figures around Omar Sy: Ludivine Sagnier (Claire), Soufiane Guerrab (Guedira), Hervé Pierre (Pellegrini), Antoine Gouy (Benjamin), Ethan Simon (Raoul), but also new faces like Laïka Blanc‒Francard et Théo Christine. And for those who worry about seeing her spirit lose its splendor, Pauline Dauvin reassures aficionados: “We find there what makes the series so enjoyable: the ‘lupinades’, the twists and turns, the breathtaking action scenes, a spectacular Paris and Omar Sy at the top”.

Omar Sy co-creator: a Lupine redefined by the creative involvement of its star

For the first time, Omar Sy abandons his simple hat of artistic producer to take on that of co-creator on season 4, alongside Louis Leterrier. This rise in power in the conception of Lupine sounds like an obvious choice for the actor, determined to breathe a breath of fresh air without turning his back on the deep identity of the series. “In previous seasons, I was artistic producer and this year I am co-creator with Louis Leterrier,” he confided to Variety. A role that translated into “five months non-stop”, a total involvement described as “exhausting but also very exciting to be in the driver’s seat”.

Thanks to this new creative power, Omar Sy promises to have guided the series towards new territories while remaining faithful to the Lupine DNA: a work of adventure, stratagems, thrills and Parisian glamour. “We tried to bring something new… It was a challenge but I think we succeeded”he says, determined to break the routine and surprise fans, while prancing through the legendary streets of the French capital.

Already, rumors of a possible fifth season are circulating. Ludivine Sagnier, questioned about the upcoming finale, sows confusion: “I can’t reveal the finale to you, but we can’t stop there, it’s not possible. That’s all I can say!” A statement which fuels all the speculation on an XXL suspense, leaving the idea of a new open ending. Even on the production side, the mystery remains over the end of Lupine: as Pauline Dauvin declared to Ouest-France, “Why would it be the last?”
