The Carrefour des sciences et des arts, in partnership with the Compagnie du code, is offering two free training days for young people aged 13 to 18 during the 2026 spring holidays. These workshops will take place in the premises of the Carrefour des sciences et des Arts (10 boulevard Gambetta, in Cahors).
Wednesday April 29 (9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.): create a web page. This six-hour immersive day is aimed at middle school students (from 4th to 3rd grade) and high school students. Alternating between theoretical contributions, discussions and practical application, it allows you to discover the basics of web development. Participants will explore digital professions, key skills and training courses, while learning about HTML and CSS to design their first web page. In a small group (eight young people maximum), participants will address the fundamentals of development (logic, conditions, front-end and back-end organization) through the realization of a concrete project. Thursday April 30 (9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.): create a mobile app that suits you! This second day offers an introduction to the creation and design of mobile applications. Young people will discover careers in the sector, essential skills and possible training, while learning to program using the Thunkable tool. In groups of eight maximum, they will design a simple, testable mobile application that can be downloaded to their phone. A concrete experience to understand the design and programming logic specific to mobile applications.
