Immersed in the world of childhood and parenthood for twenty-five years, she trained as a childcare assistant, based on a state diploma, before donning various outfits: educator of young children in a hospital environment, director of nursery…

From young children to adults

She now has a new calling card: sophrologist, initiated into the Caycadian method, with a specialization in children, adolescents and a systemic approach to the family and parental functions. It is located in Salles-la-Source, precisely at n°49 chemin de Jumels. Its leitmotif is contained in a formula: “Sophrology sessions, the common thread of which promotes the balance of body and mind, and contributes to personal, emotional and relational development“.

If she was born in Belgium, she grew up in Canada and especially in France, in Paris, in Drôme, in Nice, before “fall in love with Occitania “, and more particularly from Aveyron, where she followed the beat of her heart. As for sophrology, she discovered it, in 2020, as a practitioner. She then trained at the Vifia school, before taking the plunge!

She very quickly focused on child development. She did not forget: “Exercising this discipline with the youngest is evident in my career. “. She therefore welcomes young people from the age of 3 to “managing emotions (anger, sadness, joy, fear…), sleep, self-confidence“. She is inexhaustible on the subject: “It’s a fun, original and caring method“.

“Sophrology, not a therapy but rather a toolbox”

It is also interested in older children, adolescents or young adults, with the dual objective of: “Thrive with serenity and develop a positive self-perception “. She details: “The practice of sophrology among middle and high school students promotes a positive feeling about their emotional states, their body and their mind “For them, it’s about dynamic relaxation, breathing, positive visualization, meditation… She adds: “It activates concentration, lucidity and acts on sleep disorders, anxiety attacks…“.

She also offers workshops.flexibles et adaptés” : “To learn to relax, strengthen your abilities, accept yourself with your strengths and weaknesses“. Each workshop corresponds to a theme: chasing away anger, establishing calm, relaxing after the storm, releasing fear, releasing sadness, stimulating concentration or strengthening self-esteem. “I rely a lot on my life experiences“, assures the one who is also a mother.

Precisely, as she was probably a mermaid in another life, Daphné Wright has added water to her professional daily life. She thus put on the aquasofrologist jersey. She floats in happiness: “Water strengthens sophrology techniques. Associated with breath, it releases tension, envelops us in a bubble of softness and transports us“. She adds: “The experience is simply magical“. She offers aquasofrology, from the age of 8, every Friday afternoon in the pool of a physiotherapist in Druelle, but also in the summer in the swimming pool at her house and goes to individuals who have a private swimming pool.

After almost three years of independent practice, is Daphné Wright in her element? The answer is categorical: “Completely! It’s not a job, but a reason for being. I feel totally fulfilled. On the other hand, sophrology is not a therapy. Let’s rather say a form of pedagogy, a toolbox. I try to put things in place, it’s up to them! “.
