IBM announced that 11 of its artificial intelligence (AI) and automation software solutions – including several Watsonx products – have received authorization from the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
These approvals were made possible through the Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) between IBM and Amazon Web Services (AWS), which includes investments to accelerate the deployment of AI and automation solutions for federal agencies. All 11 solutions are deployed exclusively on AWS GovCloud (US), providing agencies with secure access to these capabilities without having to manage the underlying infrastructure, while still meeting government compliance requirements. IBM’s 11 FedRAMP-certified software solutions are part of the company’s AI and Automation Services for Government portfolio and include: watsonx.ai, which provides access to enterprise-ready foundation models – including IBM Granite, open-source models and partner models such as Llama – as well as tools to design, tune and deploy AI applications in hybrid cloud environments.
