“I am the Way, the Truth and the Life”: it is this famous phrase of Christ taken from the Gospel of John (Jn 14, 6) which served as the motto of the apostolic journey accomplished by Leo XIV in the Principality of Monaco on March 28. This motto appears at the foot of the official logo of the Pope’s visit, which presents, in the upper part, on the left, the black and white image of the Holy Father, smiling and blessing, with liturgical vestments, the miter and the papal ferule, to express the spiritual and pastoral dimension of the visit. On the right, the stylized figure of the tower of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco which recalls the identity and sovereignty of the Principality. The tower is entirely light yellow in color, so that the entire upper part, seen as a whole, is reminiscent of the Vatican flag. The lower part of the logo is entirely taken up by the inscription announcing the trip, in particular the name “Leon As a whole, the logo highlights the figure of the Pope and his apostolic mission, in harmony with the welcome reserved by the Principality whose state religion is the Catholic religion.
