According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the latter has just asked localities, tourism management organizations and businesses in the province to prepare the necessary conditions to welcome, serve and ensure the safety of tourists during the holidays from April 30 to May 1 and the high summer tourist season of 2026.
Therefore, tourism businesses must regularly inspect and evaluate their operating conditions, infrastructure, security and public order, as well as the measures taken to ensure the safety of tourists. The Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area Management Board, National Parks Management Board (Bidoup – Nui Ba, Ta Dung) and tourist sites and attractions in the region should strengthen measures to ensure the safety of tourists at their sites. Particular attention should be paid to areas including waterfalls, lakes, rivers, streams, beaches, coastal areas and internal transport networks. No tour operator is allowed to organize tourism programs or products posing a risk to the life and health of tourists in the areas it manages without the written permission of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Previously, authorities inspected the operating conditions of several companies offering tourism products posing a risk to the lives and health of tourists, mainly off-road vehicle and motorcycle tours on sand dunes, concentrated in the Trinh Nu hill area of Bau Trang tourist spot in Hoa Thang commune. According to the press release, the results of this recent inspection show that all companies fully comply with the security measures stipulated in Article 9 of Government Decree No. 168 (of December 31, 2017), which details certain provisions of the Tourism Law. In addition, these companies are required to scrupulously respect the regulations applicable to the tourism sector in general and to the operation of tourism products presenting a risk to the life and health of tourists in particular.
The project “Guaranteeing the Safety of Tourism Activities in Lam Dong Province”, launched by the Provincial People’s Committee in the middle of the first quarter of 2026, has come into force. It aims to contribute to making Lam Dong a safe destination and a leading tourism, resort and leisure center at the national, regional and international levels.
